However, there are many standards companies must meet to be an Inc. 5000 Top US Company. The basics are that the company must be based in the US, it must be a privately held, for-profit company, and it must be an Independent business—not a subsidiary or division of other companies. More competitive still, 2024 Top US Companies are ranked according to revenue growth from 2020 – 2023. That means to even be considered for this honor, businesses must have earned a minimum revenue of $100,000 in 2020 and a minimum revenue of $2 million in 2023.
