During the third edition of the Future Aviation Forum organised in Riyadh, Saudia Cargo entered into a five-year agreement with Saudia Technic. This agreement will enable the Saudi Arabian airfreight carrier to lease and operate 6,000 square meters of space within Saudia Technic’s Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) village at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
According to this agreement, scheduled to take effect before the end of September 2025, Saudia Cargo will establish its headquarters in Saudia Technic’s largest MRO village in the MENA region. This partnership aims to leverage the expertise of both parties to optimise resource utilisation, achieve cost savings through shared facilities, and facilitate knowledge sharing and skills transfer between air cargo logistics and aircraft maintenance services.
“We are delighted to collaborate with Saudia Cargo and welcome them to Saudia Technic’s MRO Village. We’re not just establishing a contractual agreement but embracing a future characterised by partnership and ingenuity. This strategic partnership highlights our steadfast dedication to quality, heralding a new era in optimisation, expansion, and customer-centric solutions within the aviation industry,” said Captain Fahd H. Cynndy, CEO, Saudia Technic, in an official release.
“The signed agreement will promote innovation, teamwork, continuous improvement, and collaboration across Saudia Group’s subsidiaries. “This strategic move reinforces our commitment to operational excellence and paves the way for synergies that will drive efficiency, growth, and customer satisfaction. Together, we look forward to shaping the future of air cargo and aircraft maintenance services with a united vision and shared expertise,” added Teddy Zebits, CEO, Saudia Cargo.
