Radiant Logistics, a major player in third-party logistics (3PL), has expanded its reach by acquiring TCB Transportation, an intermodal marketing company based in St. Louis, Missouri. The purchase, made through Radiant’s subsidiary Radiant Road and Rail, Inc., marks Radiant’s eighth acquisition in a little more than a year.
TCB Transportation is a well-established business with 25 years of experience in logistics. The company focuses on managing the movement of 40- and 53-foot containers across North America. It works closely with shipping lines, Class I railroads, and trucking partners to offer door-to-door delivery services. TCB serves industries such as forestry, food and beverages, and manufacturing, earning a solid reputation for reliability and customer satisfaction.
Under the new ownership, TCB will continue operating as part of Radiant Road and Rail. Jerry Kausch Jr., TCB’s founder, will remain in charge of day-to-day operations. While the financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed, part of the payment will depend on TCB’s future performance.
Radiant Logistics, headquartered in Renton, Washington, has been actively building its business through acquisitions, using each deal to strengthen its capabilities and expand its market share. Adding TCB to its portfolio is a strategic move to enhance Radiant’s bi-modal brokerage platform, which combines road and rail logistics. Radiant’s CEO and founder, Bohn Crain, explained why TCB is a perfect fit for the company’s growth plans. They’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to boost their bi-modal brokerage platform and found it with TCB.
With TCB on board, Radiant plans to introduce new tools and services to TCB’s existing clients, including international forwarding and over-the-road brokerage. The acquisition allows Radiant to build on TCB’s strong foundation while expanding its own logistics network.
Radiant Logistics has been consistently acquiring companies, like TCB Transportation, to strengthen its position in the highly competitive logistics industry. This steady pace of acquisitions allows Radiant Logistics to grow its operations and market share.
By leveraging their expertise and resources, Lading Logistics aims to provide efficient and reliable international shipping and logistics solutions for their clients.
