Keeta Drone has achieved a significant milestone by securing the UAE’s first commercial licence for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone deliveries.
This licence, issued by the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), marks a major breakthrough in the region’s drone logistics industry. The licence was officially launched by HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, at Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO). During the launch event, Keeta Drone unveiled four operational drone delivery routes at DSO, connecting key locations such as the Rochester Institute of Technology, Dubai (RIT Dubai), and China Centre Dubai Digital Park.
These routes will enable fast and efficient delivery of food, medicine, and other essential items. HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum placed the first order using the Keeta Drone delivery system, which was successfully delivered from one of the take-off points in the community.
