ECU Worldwide, a wholly-owned global subsidiary of Allcargo Logistics, has appointed Jan Kleine-Lasthues as the Chief Operating Officer.
In this role, Kleine-Lasthues will oversee the global operational functions across all regions, driving operations excellence at ECU Worldwide, says an official release.
Kleine-Lasthues had announced recently that he is leaving Hellmann Worldwide Logistics after nearly 13 years. “Not an easy decision and it is not a decision against Hellmann, but a decision for an exciting new role.”
Kleine-Lasthues worked with SDV Geis as Head of Aerospace division for more than 12 years before joining Hellmann where he last served as Global Chief Operating Officer, Air Freight.
As a part of the global leadership team, Kleine-Lasthues will be focused on institutionalising the operations and process optimisation enhancing customer delight, the release added. “He will lead the digital transformation journey and be responsible for technology integration, trade lane strategies and network management to meet financial goals and drive value creation for all stakeholders.”

Kleine–Lasthues will be based out of Hamburg, Germany and will report to Adarsh Hegde, Managing Director, ECU Worldwide, the release added.
