Here’s the latest courier status update for Monday, December 9, 2024:
Purolator
Temporary pause on Purolator shipments
UPS
UPS Standard Domestic Service: No pickups available. Packages must be dropped off at an authorized UPS location.
Expect service disruptions and delays across the network.
FedEx
Same-day Express Pickups: Temporarily suspended across Canada. Please schedule for next-day pickup.
Ground Service Pickups in Ontario: Suspended in most Ontario markets until mid-next week.
Ground Service Pickups outside Ontario: Still available in BC, AB, QC, and the Maritimes.
Expect service disruptions and delays across the network.
Canpar
Packages to remote areas may see delays.
Due to higher than usual shipping volumes, Canpar is experiencing delays in their shipping processes, such as:-Slowdowns in processing shipments online and occasional timeouts, but these have been intermittent.-They are working with their system administrators to ensure that shipping operations remain available and stable.
DHL
No reported service disruptions at this time.
GLS
GLS is advising clients in Quebec and Ontario that shipments to Atlantic and Western Canada must be handed to GLS by the dates below. All parcels tendered after these dates will be delivered in January.To ensure delivery to the following locations in December, parcels from Quebec and Ontario must be tendered by the following dates:
British Columbia: December 11
Alberta: December 12
Saskatchewan: December 12
Manitoba: December 12
Northwest Ontario (Thunder Bay): December 12
Newfoundland: December 11
Nova Scotia: December 18
New Brunswick: December 18
Freight Shipments, which are less impacted by the dispute, will follow our standard transit schedule. However, clients should expect periodic weather delays throughout the winter season.
