Cass Information Systems announced they have acquired AcuAudit from Acuitive Solutions. The platform helps check and fix invoices for shipments made by ocean, air, or drayage.
AcuAudit is fully automated, meaning it works independently to check and correct freight bills. This saves time and ensures businesses only pay the right amount.
Acuitive Solutions, the company that created AcuAudit, is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. They specialize in supply chain software, which helps businesses manage the movement of goods. AcuAudit is part of its offerings and has joined Cass to improve its services.
Cass handles payments worth $90 billion annually, including $40 billion specifically for freight-related costs. Adding AcuAudit to its tools means Cass can now offer even better services for businesses that deal with shipping and transportation.
Tony Urban, the president of Cass’ freight audit and payment group, shared his thoughts in a news release. He said this acquisition makes Cass the strongest option for companies with complex transportation needs across the globe. In simple terms, if a company ships goods using many different methods (like trucks, planes, or ships), Cass can handle all their payment and audit needs in one place.
Phil Marlowe, the president and co-founder of Acuitive Solutions, will continue leading the company. Acuitive will still focus on helping businesses with shipment routing and solutions for handling packages through multiple carriers.
Marlowe expressed his excitement about AcuAudit joining Cass. He mentioned that this move will allow AcuAudit’s vision to grow and succeed even further. While Marlowe will stay with Acuitive, he will also help Cass by providing strategic advice.
