The Washington State Division of Agriculture introduced in a information launch it has obtained funding from the U.S. Division of Agriculture’s Agricultural Advertising Service to assist the Resilient Meals System Infrastructure Program.
This one-time-only program is meant to construct resilience throughout the center of Washington’s meals provide chain, together with aggregation, processing, manufacturing, storing, transporting, wholesaling and distribution for regionally and regionally produced meals. The grants can be found to growers, producers, processors and shippers of specialty crops, dairy, grains for human consumption and aquaculture. Meat and poultry merchandise will not be eligible.
A complete of $7.32 million in federal funding can be awarded for infrastructure grants starting from $100,000 to $3 million.
Grant purposes can be accepted till July 15.
