Starbucks is the same as buying a track suit covered in Gucci logos.
It's for wannabes.
Those of us with actual money don't go there.
today very expensive coffee
Star Bucks has failed dismally in Australia.
We drink REAL coffee.
The French translations on this video are a bit off.
Not too fond of coffee but a mocha frappuccino is amazing. Gotta give Starbucks credit where its due.
How to make billions selling overpriced coffee?
Cater to a certain crowds need to feel superior over others. There you go. Just like what Whole Foods does.
Ah, Starbucks. A capitalist giant that touts is progressive values all the while playing the same mega corp games that keep its profits high. Nothing but the typical left wing double talk.
Makes you feel you're better than others?
Sounds like what "Whole Foods" does.
I have a star bucks opening in my area but I don't think it will be very profitable very long because of the location they choose to put it in, it's in a small town surrounded by a dozen of places that already sell coffee including tim hortons, McDonald's
They are selling a pretentious product. They are selling an image, the illusion of luxury. In short, don’t go there if you want proper coffee or an authentic experience. Go support your mom and pop diner!
Starbucks is a successful corporation because that corporation was able to commit to its business model whie inegrating a commitment to customers.
Conservation International sounds like a PR agency more than anything it claims.
The comments are so shallow. Cheap Dunkin can’t even get an order right… they rush you around when there’s no customers and abandoned them a decade ago… my local Starbucks has always taken good care of me. And I live in the home region of Dunkin…the Boston area so…
Doesn't have to be good, doesn't have to be worth it. Just tell people it is- over, and over, and over.
I love hearing Starbucks employees discuss how difficult their job is. Obviously, they've never worked a real job. I've done fast food, when I was in high school and even made Shift Manager after only 2 years.
As a higher-level Program Manager in the Medical Device industry, I can tell you that my current job is 100 times more difficult (although it pays the equivalent of about $100/hr.
I've been getting my Sbux daily for decades, and this is the first time I've heard it described as a status symbol. I get coffee and a snack because I'm addicted to caffeine and sugar–nothing more. I don't spend time in the shop, just grab and go. "Third place" is b.s.
Well, we are the same country that pays for bottled water, so…
I used to work Harvey’s as a teenager. If I wasn’t at the cash, I’d be in the front, dressing burgers. Once it becomes dead, I chopped onions, sliced tomatoes and pickles. Before I end my shift, I make sure the dinning area is clean. So, what is he complaining about? Finding out they’re making sophisticated customer orders, pushing buttons to make coffee and spelling and pronouncing my name incorrectly are nothing to be complaining about.
I used to go to Starbucks bc of their refills and the birthday drinks.
I call Starbucks’ products “dessert coffees.”
A cup of coffee should still cost $.50. Water and beans. What they’re paying farmers vs wholesale is a crime. And what retailers charge is just insane.
The idea of gourmet coffee is utter nonsense. Independent Blind taste tests suggest that just like wine, experts are no better than a coin flip at choosing the expensive stuff.
Coffee smells great but tastes nasty. Hence cream and sugar.
Caffeine pills all the way!
Repost?
The problem is the people whose paid Starbuck product's price
Extremely expensive caffeine and sugar fix that is marketed to make the consumer feel special.
I make coffee from high-quality beans. A 12-cup pot of coffee costs about 50 cents. It is a great-tasting coffee without being ripped off.
😂
I wish I could've been to one in the early days when they were still trying to appear classy.
Ah yes, Starbucks: where I pay $6 for a cup of coffee so I can feel poor and sophisticated at the same time. Truly a financial masterclass!
Starsucks 😳
