Regardless of being marketed as the subsequent large factor with an enormous market, it has turned out to be false. Most farmers are stranded with their harvests because of an absence of market. we inform you why it is perhaps a rip-off

From Nigeria,i bag to disagree that dragon fruit farming is not profitable.1 kilo is sold for 4dollers farmgate price.1 stand of 4plants gives you average of 4*4branches * 4fruit per year=62fruits*250g=15kg*4dollers=60dollers and you say its not profitable.
I will have to disagree. It's about how well you develop the value chain yourself as a farmer. Not waiting to see opportunity. It's no wonder African farmers are mostly poor. Create your own opportunities. Dragon fruit is still a great cash crop to grow.
If you view the dragon fruit as scam why educate us on growing and production . Are you simply in youtube business and trying to sell a story . Provide more facts to support your story please .
This man doesn't know his left and right. I think he is hungry for YouTube business.
This guy is a scam
This is the same pattern Kenyans with the QUAIL EGGS SCAM , people rushed to buy quails and some made profits others made losses.
Gotta be careful
Scams in eac start in Kenya. We always ask are Kenyans still doing it
Just keep your wheel of poverty rolling While others are harvesting gold from dragon fruit farming
Jealousy is in ur blood
Pls let ppl be free to do what they want to do and stop feeding ppl with ur bias ideas. Look for a real job
why are you lying! you are saying this while people are making huge profits from this fruit in Vietnam, china, Thailand, India, brazil even the Philippines! If this fruit was such a scam like you claim, then how come the demand from international buyers are so high that farmers can't meet the demand? do you even plant dragon fruit? Are you a dragon fruit farmer? Only if you have planted the fruit and actually experienced this! you can claim its a scam! Otherwise, if you don't! then shut the hell up and stop trying to destroy other people's dream!
😢
Other than the criticism i dont hear anyone telling us where the market is. I have contemplated planting it for a while now but im scared of the demand side of the fruit locally apart from the high end supermarket malls mentioned
Your story is just a scam and not informative, nothing will deter me from injecting half a million into dragon fruit farming
I will do dragon farming and sell 200 per kg to attract more consumers in kenya
@Farmworx Kenya thanks for highlighting the truth. Most negative comments here are by people who have never even had their hand on agriculture nor business. The success of any business is largely pinned to the demand/sales thereof. He's revealed the reality as is. There is no sufficient demand to sustain the dragon fruit farming IN KENYA hence the project isn't as feasible as alluded by many whom in reality aren't even farmers. Our problem is we claim to what to hear the truth but the moment the truth comes our way we fail to handle it.
Dream killer!
This is the mindset of a poor person. Everything in the world is profitable and viable as long as you do your strategy right.
Stop demotivating people with your biased information.
Well it’s simple. They’re selling seedlings to encourage more farmers to grow enough quantities that attract the export market.
Each person does it to benefit himself, it is easier to sell a plant than to sell the fruit, it is easier for me to plant mango or avocado graft it and sell a plant in a ready market, same with mushroom, sell a ready mix and people can harvest in short time so it makes sense in what you say.
I grow dragon fruit in Uganda.
Me and other fellow farmers we have failed to meet the demand.
We are now sourcing from India & kenya.
Prices are high because demand is high and low supply
Bro hii kitu iko na pesa but its best market in overseas especially spain and Dubai
The writer's questions are valid.the price of seedlings is so high that you wonder,if the fruits are expensive and in high demand why not expend and lower price so that ordinary citizens can afford.
Hater
Even if you sell at kes 50 per fruit ,you can get return on your investment in a year .
