Tree fruit trade members are invited to debate water administration with consultants in a sequence of digital conferences in June.
The sequence, “Water Knowledge: Navigating Tree Fruit Manufacturing By way of Drought and Deluge,” is organized by the North American Summer season Digital Orchard Meetup Program, a bunch of extension leaders from completely different areas who’ve been convening digital orchard administration conversations since 2021.
“Over the previous decade, growers have skilled unpredictable rainfall, water availability challenges, droughts and deluges,” organizers stated within the assembly announcement. “We need to discover strategies for adapting to those challenges and focus on alternate options for environment friendly irrigation practices, together with advances in irrigation applied sciences that assist growers produce high-quality fruit.”
Periods shall be held on Thursdays in June at 7 p.m. EDT (4 p.m. PDT).
Subjects embrace: traits in water availability; the position of water in tree fruit physiology and high quality; sensible watering practices for irrigation administration; and a panel dialogue.
