The country to retire in is important but what's most essential is being financially ready for retirement
hi great vid. I smoke a lot of Cannabis. If i move to Panama ,will it be easy to get weed?? Thx
I don't see how Panama, whether it be Panama City or rural Panama, can be considered 'the best place…..'. Other than the 4-5 most expensive cities of north america, Panama City is just as expensive and in many cases more expensive than living in the USA. Panama City has 3 big positives, it is very walkable, it has a very nice city park Parque Omar, and public transportation is good. But most people look to expat to find significantly lower cost of living, and that is just not the case for PTY. As for rural and small city Panama, there the COL is much lower than PTY, but it is still pretty 3rd world. Mexico or Guatamala or Colombia offer much better possibilities for retirement places.
Is it cost friendly to bring your own motorcycle to Panama from the USA
Nice add….Unsubsidized
When Americans arrive to live in any place, I mean, ANY place, prices tend to go up due to the American Greed, that is unmeasurable and unstoppable.
Would someone suggest to me an agency for getting a pensioner visa?
It must be nice to be rich!! 🤑 Not me! 😢
Another reason: Project 2025.
Panama is a VERY socially conservative country with draconian laws. That’s not for me.
I lived in Panama for 10 years. It has changed a lot in 10 years, not necessarily for the best. I elected to relocate to Costa Rica, for a different lifestyle.
Your Spanish pronunciation is impeccable. Thank you for loving my homeland so much. Greetings from a panameña en 🇨🇦 🪷💜🙏🏽
Free steambaths, just step outside!
In the capital and certain “expat” hot spots expect to pay higher prices vs the rest of the country. There are several small towns in every province that can be super affordable. As in any Latin American country if you go to the local market you will save ton!
I have been all over the world and I can say Boquete can not be beat for a retirement location if you like spring weather.
What is the language that you have to
$120,000 tax exmption on your home..
Daily fresh catch red snapper ( gutted )- $2.50 a pound .
Fresh tuna and makerel – $1.50 a pound.
Fresh chicken breast-$1.25 a pound.
My power bill with a pool pump and a/c at night is under $15 a month.
I hsd an EKG, and a bag of saline put into my vein lsst week. ( I had too much salt in my diet).
Total cost (including the ER Doctor) ?
Fifty cents.
I've been here for 12 years with my 2 dogs.
They eat fish in the morning and chicken breast in the afternoon.
I own my ocean front place and vehicle, dont go out to eat very often, and I spend less than $1000 a month to live comfortably.
Stay out of the city and the casinos and living is dirt cheap.
I love it…
I have an additional large ocean front lot for sale as well.
What about earthquake risks?
Stop advertising our country, all you gringos do is increase property and living costs for us locals, we don’t benefit from your emigration. You move here open these gated communities you don’t mix, what’s the point?
👏👏👏👏👏
Not for older US citizens who don't speak Spanish – it isn't ! — The language barrier is a real deal breaker for many. A comfortable daily life is desirable and essentials for daily living can be difficult when you can't read the signs streets roads menus or talk on the phone placing orders for essentials. If you are fluent in Spanish you have it made.
Is it true that there's a problem with trash in the streets, everywhere?
I wish I could take another vacation to Panama like I did a year ago. Great destination to escape the rough Chicago Winters.
we have been to panama 3 times. Last year we took an overpriced “relocation” tour. It was interesting to see so many different climates. We hate hot weather so we decided to live in volcan. We went to boquete last year and decided its way overrun with expats and the prices to eat out are astounding due to the more affluent expat population. we are headed back to volcan in a week to spend a month to cement our decision. Curious as to your $2900 a month budget. If you spend $1000 a month on lodging what in the world do you spend the other $1900 on?
What’s the best place to retire in 2030? I like to think long term.
Very Expensive , I saw a video from an Expat In Coronado . A large Pizza $28 . I pay less than that in the USA .
This video has me really curious about retiring in Panama! I’d love to know more about the cost of living compared to the U.S., especially in terms of healthcare, housing, and everyday expenses. Are there any particular areas in Panama that are more affordable or better suited for retirees? Would love to hear your thoughts!
I am headed down to Panamá for the holidays, and your presentation has me totally excited — I am so happy to get away from the wind and freezing 🥶 temps!!!
—- Thanks for your positive, honest and upbeat presentation style!
Could you please give an update on the catastrophic flooding and the serious drought?
Panama? bullshit.
Too expensive.
Great info, thank you! You inspired me to take an exploratory trip! 🙏🏼🥰💫
